On Sunday, Grandma H and Emma went to the circus. They had a great time watching the animals and the clowns and everything else, and Emma came home with a very cool pony souvenir, not to mention a little something to remember the clowns by...
She was too excited to eat anything at McDonald's before they went to the arena, but she ate half of a huge box of circus popcorn!Emma and Andrew are taking a trip to Grandma and Grandpa K's house on Saturday to spend the night. This will be the first time Andrew sleeps away from us. And we're not nearly as stressed about it as we probably were with Emma's first sleepover. That's what happens when you're the second kid!
Emma told me this evening that she might get to go swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I asked her if the pool was outside, and she said, "No, it's in the door." (indoors) Tim and I had a good laugh about that one.
Our big girl has been doing a very impressive job learning how to read since she moved up to Pre-K. She is literally reading sentences in some of her learning-to-read story books. It's only a matter of time before she reads the bedtime story while Mom and Dad kick back and relax. Sounds good to us!
And while we are bragging, Andrew has been a very good sleeper at night lately. Can't quite say he's sleeping through the night on a regular basis yet, but it does happen at least a few nights a week.
Looks like we have some pretty great kids. :)
