This past week has been all about Easter in our house. On Wednesday, we dyed some eggs. Emma mostly just got to sit and watch, but she was fascinated by the entire process!

When I went to the store on Tuesday to buy the supplies, I told Emma that I was going to get the stuff we needed to color the eggs & I would be right back. When I came back home, she came running over and said, "Did you buy the markers?" I said, "What markers?" And she said, "The markers to color the eggs!" I had to give her credit -- I did say we were going to "color the eggs," and what else would a 2-year old think of when you say you are going to color something?
She did get to participate after the eggs were dry and load them up with stickers. That was a big treat.

On Friday we made cut-out cookies, which Mommy learned is twice as challenging as usual when you have a little "helper" in the kitchen! Didn't take any pictures while we were making them, but here is the final result:
Today started with Emma's discovery that the Easter bunny had filled our baskets with goodies and hid them in the family room.

Then we headed to church, where Great Aunt Martha gave Emma some bunny ears. They were a big hit! We weren't very successful at our attempts for a nice family picture, but we did get sort of a cute one with the bunny ears:

After that, we went over to Grandma & Grandpa K's house to celebrate Easter with Daddy's side of the family. Alex & Emma had lots of fun looking for eggs in the backyard.

They even posed for a cute hug picture. It looks like Emma's mad here...actually she's just chewing on a jellybean!

In the afternoon, Mommy's side of the family came over to our house for more celebrating, more food, and of course more Easter goodies. Apparently the Easter bunny brought things for Emma to our house and both grandparents' houses -- he must like her alot!
After dinner, we were treated to some piano music and funny faces to round out our Easter holiday.
