Well, it's Sunday night, and we are all sufficiently stuffed, sugared-out, and exhausted. As promised, we have plenty of pictures to share from the weekend's events.
Our Saturday morning started with some quality time spent outside in the abundant sunshine. Emma took her bike for spin up & down the sidewalk, while Daddy got a workout helping her get back up the hill each time.

Then it was time for a little hopscotch, her new favorite outdoor activity.

After playing outside, it was time to meet up with Grandma & Grandpa K, Uncle Mike, Aunt Heather, and Alex for lunch and an egg hunt. Alex & Emma were both expert egg hunters -- you can tell they've done this before!

Emma was very proud of her haul!

We woke up this morning and searched the house to see if the Easter Bunny had hidden our baskets with goodies inside. Emma's keen eye found both her basket and Mommy & Daddy's basket right away, and she was so excited about the fun stuff the Easter Bunny brought her!
After a search through the baskets, a quick breakfast, and the inevitable pieces of pre-church Easter chocolate, we piled in the car and went to church. She was very proud to show off her pretty dress and brand new sandals (a little warning: do NOT call them shoes or you will be corrected!).
In the afternoon, we had Grandma H, Great Grandma G, Aunt Laura, and Cooper's family over for Easter dinner. Cooper & Emma were happy to bypass their veggies in order to save room for the frosting-loaded cookie creations Grandpa H had picked out especially for them. They definitely enjoyed them, but what a mess! What you can't see in these pictures are the gooey blue hands that had us all yelling, "Wait! Don't touch anything until I wipe you off!" as the kids ran off to play. If you had been able to join us, we would have made sure the kids gave you a big blue frosting hug, Grandpa!

The rest of us enjoyed Grandma H's legendary bunny cake, but he was demolished before we could snap a picture -- a testament to how tasty it was.
And with that, another Easter is in the books. I think we've all had enough sugar to last us until Halloween. Ugh...
