March madness

March has been super busy!  Lots to catch up on, so let's get right to it.

We let Emma buy anything she wanted at the bookstore with the money Aunt Laura sent her for Valentine's Day. Smart girl that she is, she chose a two-stories-in-one book, so she got twice as much for her money! She even got to go to the register by herself.

She was so proud of herself.

Drew discovered his little plastic baseball bat recently.  He started saying "baseball" too, which makes his Daddy super proud.  Now we just need to work on his batting stance a little.

Last weekend was really nice out, so we played in the backyard for awhile. The kids had a ball -- I don't think Drew even knew our backyard existed before then!

To get ready to go outside, Drew tried to put on his own shoes.  Didn't quite work.
Drew had his 15 month check-up on Wednesday.  He is 31.5" tall (75-90th percentile) and holding steady around 31 lbs (30 lb 14 oz, to be exact)...which puts him a little less off the charts than before, but still "greater than 99%" according to the pediatrician's office.  As usual, he had the entire staff, including the doctor, swooning with his sweet smile and flirting.

Then we had St. Patrick's Day this past week. Since the kids spent Saturday at Grandpa and Grandma K's house, we celebrated on Friday with a green breakfast.  (The cereal has green sprinkles in it.)

We had a St. Patrick's Day lunch at work where everyone was supposed to bring something green.  My coworkers requested the oreo cupcakes, so I added a few green sprinkles to make them fit the theme.  Warning to Megan: this picture might make you have to bake another batch too!

On Sunday, I took Emma to get her haircut. The Before:

The After:

She looks so much older with her hair shorter! Someone tell my baby girl to stop growing up so fast!
