What started out as a runny nose last Thursday turned into a nasty cold that brought Emma's first ear infection. We went to see the pediatrician on Monday about her nasty sounding cough. Her lungs checked out fine, but Dr. Dewling said she wasn't crazy about how Emma's ears looked, so she is now on her very first round of antibiotics (the yummy pink medicine you probably remember from when you were a kid!). She seems to be in her usual good spirits, and the cough sounds a little better every day, so it looks like we are on the road to recovery.
While we were at the pediatrician's office, they stuck her on the scale, and she weighed in at just over 16lbs. When Dr. Dewling examined her mouth, she said it looks like her top teeth are going to come in first, probably within the next month. We shall see...
Obviously, the kid wasn't feeling too miserable because we got some great pictures of her on Thursday!

She's getting teeth soon? Yikes! I dread the whole teething process because it makes for one fussy baby. Hopefully she'll take it like a champ!
