On Saturday, we went over to Grandpa & Grandma H's house for dinner, where Emma got a lovely new patriotic dress. I'm sure this one will be making another appearance around the 4th of July. Emma was very excited that it has, as she called them, "fireworks" on the straps!
On Monday, we had our own holiday cookout. After all, what's Memorial Day without a cold beer and some hot dogs on the grill?
Emma's newest 2nd cousin (is that right?) Jessica made an early debut this weekend too. Emma is very excited to meet her, and she says cousin Nathan better watch out because he's completely outnumbered by girls now!

2nd cousin? 3rd cousin? Who knows, but I'm sure Jessica is very excited about meeting Emma as well. Heck, Jessica will be excited to meet anyone who isn't taking her blood or shining an enormous blue light in her face.
Do you realize there are the same number of boy and girl great grandchildren for Grandma now? Emma is the oldest, Nathan is the only boy and Jessica is the youngest. That just leaves Kathryn to be neglected this time around!
