Let it snow

We had our first big snow of the year this afternoon. And when I say "big snow," I mean an inch tops. But that's big here in Georgia! It was a little more than what you see here, but it's still snowing, so we may break the inch mark by morning.
Emma absolutely loved being outside in the snow. She ran circles for the first 5 minutes we were outside, and then she couldn't resist the urge to get down and roll around in it. (Although she did learn the drawback of that later, when we got inside and her jeans were soaking wet!)
Once it started sticking on the grass, Emma and Cooper gave "sledding" a try. Of course, neither of them owns a sled, so we had to get creative with a sandbox cover.

With the ice that had started forming on the concrete, it turned out that the driveway was the best place for a good ride. The squeals of joy as they slid down were priceless! Look at that scrunchy, happy face! We've got some video, but the file is too big to load here. We'll put it up on Tim's Flickr page soon. There are a bunch more snow pictures up there too.

Tim also added a bunch of pictures from Christmas morning to his page. Here is the link to that set. A few more teasers:
