Not a New York book!

Mommy managed to score a business trip to New York City next month, and we found a way to get Daddy to be able to go along too. In preparation, we went to one of Emma's favorite places -- Barnes & Noble -- to find a guide book. As we walked in, we told Emma that we were going to find a New York book. She quickly corrected us: "No, we don't need to get a New York book...we need a new Emma book!"

This is Emma's newest favorite toy, Dino. Dino comes to us by way of Grandma H's happy meal last week. We have learned that Dino enjoys eating grass and flower petals, and that Emma loves to read to him when they lay down for nap time.
Mommy & Daddy like the fact that Dino is one of Emma's few favorite toys that doesn't make any loud, obnoxious noises. Thanks, Grandma!

While taking a picture of Dino today, Emma asked if she could try taking a picture. Without further ado, Emma's very first picture, taken all by herself:

Not bad for a first photo, I'd say! I was shocked that she actually got my whole face and it wasn't too terribly crooked. Maybe we have a future professional photographer on our hands...
